Shuttle buses are replacing Red Line subway service between Broadway and North Quincy stations from Tuesday, November 5th until Sunday, Nov. 10, for track work – one of the last scheduled service interruptions in the MBTA's year-long blitz to eliminate slow zones across the subway system.

Red Line’s Braintree Branch Will Be Shut Down Through Sept. 29th
The MBTA is suspending Red Line Braintree Branch service between JFK/UMass and Braintree for 24 days, from Friday, September 6th to Sunday, September 29th to repair some of the last remaining slow zones on the Red Line.

Last Week’s Red Line Closure Fixed 6 More Slow Zones
Last week's closure of the Red Line downtown forced thousands of riders to endure long shuttle bus rides across traffic-clogged streets in downtown Boston – but it also allowed workers to fix six more slow zones between the Kendall/MIT and Park Street stations, resulting in subway trips that are one to three minutes faster between downtown Boston and Cambridge.
