The Trump administration has formally approved only a small handful of grants under the Safe Streets for All program.

Massachusetts opened over 40 miles' worth of new off-street trails in 2025, and more than a dozen new projects are expected to break ground in 2026.

Possible new ferry route destinations include other coastal cities and towns like Gloucester, Salem, Chelsea, and Everett.
